Financial platforms for the people on the other side of the money.

Five years building financial platforms: claims portals for securities class actions and receiverships, investor portals and reporting for real-estate funds, account-suitability tools for financial institutions. Now with AI agents in the loop, and a senior engineer reviewing every change.

Problems I have already solved in fintech.

Founder experience from roles and contracts before InflexDev. Company names are withheld.

  1. Securities class actions and receiverships2023–now

Staff launch new claim forms without waiting on a developer.

I lead the platform behind claimant portals and the internal tools that run each case. The form builder I designed lets the case team set up and publish a new form themselves, while every submission is still checked and processed securely behind the scenes.

  2. Real-estate investment2021–2023

Fund sponsors raise capital and report to investors without spreadsheets.

Fundraising, portfolio reporting and investor relations, automated on one platform. I also moved an aging part of the system onto a stack the whole team could maintain.

  3. Banking and investor communications2023

Customers find the right account by answering a few questions.

A guided questionnaire that recommends the most suitable account type, and reusable comparison tools that financial institutions use to show their accounts side by side.

  4. Tax documents, Brazil2020–2021

A growing tax-document system stops failing silently.

For the market leader in tax-document processing, I helped break a large system into smaller services, so every failure could be traced and fixed quickly instead of hunted down.

What I build for fintech teams.

The same ground, now with AI agents doing the drafting and a fixed scope agreed before work starts.

  • Portals for investors, claimants and account holders

The portal your customers log in to and the tools your team runs it with, with each client’s data kept separate and every user seeing only what they should.

  • Onboarding and intake

Forms your team can change without a developer, suitability and KYC-style questions, and document collection, with a record of exactly what each customer saw and answered.

  • Money and data paths

Payouts, payments through licensed providers and the books behind them, built so nobody gets paid twice and every balance can be explained.

  • Agents in the workflow

AI that reads incoming documents, sorts claims and drafts reports, with a person approving anything that changes money or a customer record.

What a review finding looks like.

The Production Readiness Review ends in a written report. Each finding names what was observed, why it matters, the fix and where it lands in the milestone plan.

Sample for illustration. Not from a client engagement.

Edited forms change the meaning of past submissions.

Finding 02 · Severity: high · Area: intake

Observed
Staff can edit a published intake form in place. Submissions store answers by field ID only, so a renamed or reworded question silently changes how older answers read. No form version is stored with a submission.
Why it matters
You cannot show what a customer actually saw and answered. In a dispute or an audit, that is the first question.
Fix
Version every published form, store the version with each submission, render past submissions with their own version and keep an append-only log of form changes.
Plan
Milestone 1, with a backfill that pins existing submissions to the current version. Covered by a test that edits a form after submission.

Where money paths usually break.

Every fintech review checks these. Most prototypes get the happy path right and fail here once real customers and real volume arrive.

Common failures in fintech money paths and how they are fixed
What happensWhat I build
A retry pays or charges twice.Every payment request carries a unique key, so a retry gets the first result back instead of paying again.
Payment notifications arrive late, twice or out of order.Every notification is saved before anything acts on it, duplicates are ignored and events are applied in the right order.
Balances drift from the provider and the bank. One set of books as the source of truth, checked against the provider and the bank every day, with every mismatch assigned to someone.
Nobody can say who changed what.A permanent record of every change to money, forms and customer data that your team and your auditors can search.

Engineers, not your compliance officer.

Clear lines keep a partner bank and a security reviewer comfortable. Here is what InflexDev does and does not do. The full detail is on the security and trust page.

I do

  • Integrate with Stripe and the licensed payment and banking providers you already use
  • Keep raw card numbers off your servers and mine with hosted or tokenized flows
  • Design to support the controls your compliance program and auditors ask for
  • Write the runbook your on-call engineer will actually use

I don’t

  • Hold, route or move funds. The licensed providers do that.
  • Act as your compliance officer or give legal advice
  • Claim PCI, SOC 2 or other certifications. InflexDev holds none.
  • Ship a money path without a tested rollback

The engineer on your project

Everton Almeida, founder of InflexDev. More than eleven years building production software, the last five on financial platforms. Today I also design and ship AI agents that work inside a company’s own systems. I write the brief, review every change and sign the handover.
